Fountains

On our walk home from dinner last night, Cindy and I passed some new (to me) fountains. The city has many beautiful fountains all over and they've planted tons of colorful flowers everywhere. It's a beautiful time to be in Astana.

Hi Eileen, Wow, awesome water fountain pictures. Wouldn't it be different and nice if Glendale and/or Burbank had some fountains around the city? How is that little Jonathan doing? Will your paperwork be done any time soon? It is so great to be able to see and read all that you are doing. Love, Teacher Ruth

I had a wonderful visit last weekend with Judy, Greg, Cyrilla, Magdallen, Chris and Stephanie. It was restful, therapeutic, and fun. I wish I lived close so I could see them more often.
I know Judy was so anxious to see Owen and she is ready to meet the new little Brady. It won't be long now.
    How is the paperwork going?
I never would have dreamed that Astana would have been so beautiful. I had always thought you were going to a dismal city, but then I guess you said that some of the places are that way.
Well, it's 9 pm and I just got home from work and fed the dogs. I'm going to eat and go right to bed. I've been working a lot of extra hours.
Take care and give Jonathan a big hug. Hi to Michael, Owen and now Judy in California.
    Love,
    Elly

    Hi Teacher Ruth,

I'm so glad you're still reading - and enjoying our adventures. Cindy and I were thinking of fountains in Glendale and remembered the frog one by the movies. Not quite the same, but the kids like that fountain.

We are leaving Astana on Sunday morning to start the final paperwork in Almaty. We have to visit the US Embassy to get Jonathan's Visa to enter the country. We have a flight home and will arrive Saturday July 1. Yippee!

    Hi Elly,

Glad you had a good visit in Mass. I can't wait to take our boys there. Maybe we can plan a trip this fall. (But we're planning on seeing you in CA in October.)

Astana is very beautiful now with all the flowers they've planted everywhere. I haven't seen so many around any city before. I've heard about some cities in Kazaksthan with no trees, so we are blessed to be here by the river with plenty of trees and flowers.
